I put a 14# on mine I could have put a bigger one like 18. I did have to use a rack to bend it in the middle until it shrunk.

I've cooked an 18# on my LBGE but had to use a rib rack to drape it over for the first few hours.

thanks fellas. I need to order some disposable aluminum pans to catch drippings. Anyone know the max size that will fit?Central Florida

just buy a disposable turkey pan and bend it to fit. i just scrunch the brisket in with the front and back lined with some foil to keep it clean.

I use this deep dish pizza pan I found on amazon. Works great.

I'm usually limited on length. I know elbow to finger tip is the length of my large grate. So that's max size.Aledo, Texas

Just shove it in there. It'll eventually shrink and then you can try to reposition it a little bit. I've had as large as a 22lb packer but it was pretty tight in the large.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

When you drape the brisket over a brick or inverted rack to initially get it to fit, recognize that the section that is elevated will cook faster (reflected heat from the dome). Then it will shrink to fit a few hours into the cook. Just make sure that any section not protected by your heat-deflector gets foil protected. The more I test the limits of them Egg, the more I've come to realize that capacity is really subjective and depends entirely upon the lengths you're willing to go to to fit the food on the grill.
