Found Another Great Restaurant
Spring Chicken

We're still living at Temporary House, and if we want something cooked on the Egg, we have to cook it in Temporary Coop.
But its not as much fun as cooking in the Original Coop.
So we sometimes head out in search of another great restaurant in the Covington, Louisiana area.
This time, we combined our search to celebrate Spring Hen's 1,392nd birthday. (She likes to 'birthday' the entire month of September and that means 44 months X 30 days just since the poker game, plus a second one on the calendar day of her birth.) Yeah! I'm often at a loss for what to get her. Fortunately, she likes my breakfasts.
This time the celebration turned out to be a fantastic adventure that combined great fun and great food. And I feel compelled to share the restaurant with others in the New Orleans area. It's worth the trip from anywhere.
Well, here's the adventure in the best way I know to describe it: a video.

Be sure to try the Nachos. You will be glad you did. They are made with "Seasoned shrimp and crawfish, cheese sauce, banana peppers, tomatoes, green onion, and served over fried wontons." And the Shrimp and Grits can only be described as the best I've ever eaten anywhere.
We swapped food from around the table and it was all great. And if that's not enough to make you want to visit there, the prices were very reasonable.
Oh, and although it's less than a mile from I-10, you have to get over to US 11 to be able to get there. Or you can come by boat. 118 Harbor View Court, Slidell, LA 70458.
It's a pretty cool place during the day. I can only imagine how lively it is at night.
Robin's Wharf is only about 30 minutes away from Temporary House and New House, so we will be returning often. See you there.
You're welcome.
