I know that with both style griddles you can flip them and use either side (will probably buy two half moons for that reason).
Questions: What's the difference between them, and do you have a preference? Thanks!

Mystery solved. Just called BGE and asked them since I read about both griddles in their free magazine(s). Was told there's no difference other than a name change. One issue I read was printed in May 2015, and the other in July 2017 - both were given to me by the store where I purchased the egg.

I bought the plancha and was a bit disappointed. I wanted something that covered the whole grate area.

Just ordered 2 half moons for my LBGE - will let you know when I get them in about 2 or 3 weeks.
