Probably a stupid question, but can someone help me understand the use/benefit of these?
With a mere flip of the wrist you can quickly flip your meat(s) or whatever you are egging.

  • Ok I am sold, wanted one already, just wanted to understand the use of them. Just need to look into contacting them and get one for a lefty!

GOOD! You won't be sorry! And being married to a leftie for 51 years now I know how hard it is for you all to have to try to adapt, but trying to use a right handed pigtail quickly and effectively will drive you bananas...So I'm glad I was able to post that response I got!

With tongs, you're hand is in the Egg, with a flipper, it's away.  That's one benefit.

I think it's faster to flip meats.  With a flip of the wrist, boom, it's over.

You can pick up brisket or butts with it (at least mine), move them, etc.

You can buy tongs that are as long (or longer) than the long pigtail flipper.

The flippers are neat and I've tried them but I still prefer tongs tho I could see having both in the quiver.
