Burger smoke ???

I did burgers tonite. Big thick & juicy. BUT I placed them directly on the grill and the fat dripped onto the fire and covered them with nasty greasy smoke. Should I have elevated them and used a drip pan?

g-o,[p]Yep, a drip pan may help it you are really having problems with that. If you have a BigLots or OddLots around they had some racks for a JetStream oven that would be just about perfect for the small. If they have several of 'em, get em. They can be stacked on top of one another and are great for letting pizza "set-up and rest" after removing from the egg or oven. I believe they are 12" and will elevate about 2 3/4" above the standard rack. You can put a drip pan under the rack.[p]I hope this helps>[p]Zip
