Well....that was easy. First cook (tri-tip) done. Good temperature management. It overshot a 225 set point a little bit (232) on startup, but then settled down to the set point. Very drama free. Ran it off the provided battery with no issue.

The temps at the end are due to me pulling the meat and probes, then dropping back to manual mode. Timezone is wrong and I'm not sure how to fix that....not a big deal though.
Meat:
Two tri-tips stacked, just before I wrapped them in foil to rest.

Very tender and juicy.
Back of the knife test:
Does that even apply to tri-tip? I have no idea. Super tender and tasty.
Now I'm going to go eat it...lol
