Planks are Caveman style, shrimp were brined and coated with butter and garlic.  No flames when the lid was closed...

Nice, will have to try this one, his recipes are a lot of work but worth it.

I love his books. I am just too lazy or busy to do all the steps. Still wanna do something clinched and planked but havent done it. Not sure why.

Yes, for an hour.  I usually do not soak, just preheat and flip to cook.  But since they were directly on the coals, and the recipe called for steam...
