Home made temp Controller question...

I have a hard time paying $160 - $400 for what seems like a simple Temp controlled fan. Wireless Thermometers are affordable... all they are doing is having a fan turn on and off based on that temp.
I came across this product on Amazon. WILLHI WH1436B 550F High Temperature Controller Pre-wired Digital Outlet ($33)
It sure seems like it will do the job, with a small fan plugged into it. They also sell high temp fans for about ($11). A little sheet metal folding, trial and error and it might do the job for under $50.

Anyone try this?
Anyone have any advice.

I have one of those that I use for controlling the temp of a crock pot. Works fine and holds a steady temp to within a degree or two.
Let us know how well it works running a blower fan for controlling temps.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -
If you get this figured out, I am expecting a diy thread.Lawrenceville, GA
