The crazy thing is it all started my lower back. Then it will go away and start a throbbing in my right leg and then my ankle. Never in my left. I know it's a nerve I just want it fixed. I need to try PT.

Get the MRI. That'll help the PT a great deal!

If it's a sciatica thing you could try a shoe insert to see if it helps.

I had some serious problems.  Finally I went to a real doctor after years of dealing with it.  Got steroids, was magical.  X-rays said I didn't have nerve fibers squirting out of a blown disk, so dr said live life, it sucks sometimes, but surgery is a last resort.  I would see a real doctor if you haven't already (too lazy to read all the above), not the Alex Jones/Info Wars analog.   Cheers!!!

@golfer  I had fusion on L4/L5 - L5/S1 in 2003. Best thing I ever did. I wish I had done it sooner. Your body will tell you when it's time for surgery. I agree with everyone, exhaust all your options first. Once you start having full body spasms where every muscle in your body spasms do to the pain you'll do whatever  necessary to get rid of that pain. Get an MRI so you know what's wrong. Find a good orthopedic surgeon that just does spines. Good luck.
