Happy 4th everyone-1st Rib Cook

Had both sets of families over for a BBQ and tried my hand at some low and slow spare ribs. Rubbed with Meat Church Gospel, 5 hours at 250, no foil, spritz with apple juice/water/apple cider Vinegar mix every hour. Mopped with bone sucking sauce at the very end. Stayed hydrated with some adult beverages throughout the day.

They were a hit! Nice smoke ring, super tender but not fall off the bone. Everyone went back for seconds(or thirds) and my cousin requested to take some home. Flattered, but pissed bc I wanted more leftovers myself lol Oh well, great day on our end and hope you all had a great day with yours.
Cheers

Those look GREAT!!!
What size Egg is that? It looks like a large, but I've never fit 5 racks of ribs onto my large! Oh, wait -- were those baby backs? No, you said they were spares. I usually just cook one rack for me and my wife, and it's plenty, but for having family over I like to cook more. If that was a large, I need to study your picture some more and try to figure out why I have never felt like I could put more than two of them full length in my Large. I've done two or three, but I cut some of them in half. -
Every thing looks great! A lot of New Belgium in that cooler, where is the Cigar City brews?middle of nowhere- G.I. NE

And 4 were spares but the one up front was a baby back. Publix got cleaned out this weekend lol -
Thank you! Love me some New Belgium. Had a trip up to Asheville last year and they were definitely on the brewery must stop list for us.
Cigar City is in Tampa FL. One of the best rated breweries in the state, if you ever see one give it a try. However we are getting spoiled with all the other good breweries in the Bay Area as well. No complaints here thoughtjosborne said:Every thing looks great! A lot of New Belgium in that cooler, where is the Cigar City brews?
