The liver was OK but, I wish I would have bought thicker cuts.  The best part of this was the asparagus.  Onions are home grown "Yellow Candy"

Good looking onions and asparagus.  Ain't no such thing as good looking liver.  I'd starve first.

Nice looking cook!!  I really like liver cooked in a screaming hot cast iron skillet.  Could the temp difference be why you thought you needed a thicker cut?   Not knocking your cook just curious.

Past liver cooks have had more flavor for some reason and I think it may have been thicker cuts.

No liver fan here but veggies are great on the salt block.  They look great.

Veggies look great. Love a good salt block cook. 

I just did a similar beef liver meal. Rubbed it in garlic salt. Put it in some old panty hose and let it sit in the sun for 3 days then went fishing. It made for some great catfish.
