I had you pegged for Nelson

Both are outstanding, but Depeche is my #1 band of all time. I have around 300 total DM cd/vinyl.

I used to like both these bands in high school. I asked this question, because while on vacation this past weekend, a song came on and both my wife and I knew all the words, but we couldn't decide which of these two bands it was. Music taste has changed since then, but I do go back to those days when one of these bands comes on the radio of sound system when I'm out somewhere and hear it.

I was a much bigger fan of hard core 80s metal.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I think no higher then 250 for low and slow.
Edit. oops, never mind. Must be a generational thing.
Neither.

Type in "New Order" to iHeart radio. Lots of panties dropped that stuff back in the mid to late 80s.

Joy Division is one of my favorites, so New Order by default.

New Order for sure. I have to come to appreciate Depeche mode now that I am older but I avoiding them as to 'pop' back when.
Frankly though I was more Smiths and Echo as my primary music of that era.XLBGE, LBGE, Charbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q2000, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.
Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
Personally, I always put on Depeche Mode when I'm doing lo-n-slo marshmallows.

New Order appealed to me like cold oatmeal, and Depeche, even when writing a serious love song, sounds like great black music to commit suicide to.
During that period, I hated pretty-boys Duran Duran, but dayam they could write some melodies! One of my favorite catalogues for "singing-in-the-shower"!
Great f*cking track:
