Last winter I went down to Texas to hunt a blackbuck but the weather was wet and cold and it just wasn't in the cards. So I found a herd of Axis and stalked this guy for about 3 days.
Went through hellish country after I shot him to get him out. But, after all the slaving and picking briars out of my butt, he has made some mighty fine meals.
The mount was sitting on my doorstep last night when I got home. New addition to the office
This weekend I think I will make some spicy cheese stuffed Moink balls with some ground meat in his honor.

@Smokin_Trout. Nope. Ol monster is still in his rightful place. Pissing my wife off every morning when she stumbles downstairs to get her coffee.
She came in and I was trying to move this one to the other wall and hang the Axis in his place and she just shook her head and said, "my next husband will just watch football like a normal person".
@piney I will never understand "trophy only hunters". I picked him off of body mass, age, and a genetic defect to take him out of the breeding pool. It's seriously some of the best meat I have ever put on my table...not even comparable to whitetail.
