Getting notifications for a thread I am not subscribed to/watching.

I can't get them to stop. I've tried everything. 

"what are you drinking now?" shows up in my notification regardless of how i try to unfollow/unsubscribe from it. 

Any ideas? 

Edit: At least I learn about new beers every now and again from it!

I had the same issue with a thread, I realized that un-highlighting the yellow star to the right of the thread will turn off notifications. Good luck!

I am using the mobile version on my phone, are you viewing the forum on a pc browser?

Ah, gotcha, I'm actually not sure then. I will login on computer later and see if I can figure it out. I'm sure in the meantime someone will post a fix.

I think i found it. 

I had popup notifications enable for "comments on discussions i've participated in". 

Have disable that feature now to test.

Did the settings area for notifications go away? I can't seem to find any settings anywhere other than profile name and email.

Yea I can't remember. I went to look for settings again and noticed that there wasn't an option. I could have sworn there was a settings button somewhere to control notifications. Did it go away?

Get on a real computer.  The mobile site doesn't have all the features.

I was on the computer. 

I did find it though. Find and click edit profile, then look left and there is a list of areas to look into.

Click on the box in the top right and you'll figure it out from there.

I get emails for EVERY TOPIC!  I can't get the emails to stop.  I've gone into profile and turned off all email check boxes.  I get thousands of emails a week.  I've tried to contact who's ever in charge of this forum but no one ever responds!
Anyone have any ideas?
