We are making plans to smoke our first brisket.  What type to buy?  What rub to use?  Smoking instructions?  Thanks in advance for your advice.

If you search this forum there is more information and opinions than you could read in a week. I just did a brisket and my advice is don't over think it and have fun.  Watch some YouTube videos in trimming the fat. Keep the rub simple to let the meat shine. That's just my opinion.

Buy prime grade if you can get it.  Rub is a function of what you want taste-wise, many options out there.  Smoking instructions as above.  Search and ye shall find.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
