Buddy asked me to make him a "southern creation" for his birthday.
I borrowed a few ideas from the forum and started going native. I'll get on my computer at work tomorrow and give credit where it's due.
Until then...bacon, jalapeño, and black bean Mac and Cheese on a bed of Parmesan potatoes. Topped with pulled pork, black beans, Blues Hog BBQ sauce, sour cream, bacon...and Makers Mark on the side.
There is no way to plate this where it doesn't look like a hot mess but it was pretty tasty.
