Flame Boss has it dialed in now!

Sunday was the first cook of the spring for me here in MN.  When the FB was plugged in it required a software update and was installed.  In the past, initial lighting would have the fan running to get the pit temp up to target temp and still be stoking even as the target temp was hit. This would result in over shooting the target sometimes by a large degree but they seemed to have adjusted this process as yesterday as I was approaching target temp, I noticed the fan drop to 60%, then 40% and finally to zero as target was reached. Upon opening the lid, instead of the fan kicking in and running hard, it waited to see how the Egg would recover to the target on it's own. The egg did recover and quite quickly but slowed as it neared the target and only then did the fan kick in to get the pit back on target. Perfect. Take a look at the cook and you will see how the FB kept the pit temp at target like a bullet! 
Very pleased with the performance of the Flame Boss and with the tweaks or updates they keep making, it only gets better.
