i have the grill grates in and the egg lit and steady for 45 minutes. I'm just messing around out back and was surprised it's running a bit over 400 steady and I don't have it cracked very much. These GGs really amplify the heat. When I'm done, my firebox will be white like I did a clean burn just from the GGs radiating the heat below them combined with the lump. When I throw the protein on I will get sear marks like a 6-700 degree cook. I actually closed it down a bit since taking this and it's steady at 410 dome.
