    @Sea2Ski I think the prep is just as good. Buddies show up getting everything ready laughing and telling stories of the times before. 

    Thats a big ol one. Here is one my buddy just sent me. We have a river we fish south of town (a trickle to maybe 8 feet in some places. Mostly wade fishing and kayaks) 

    We see panfish and small/large mouth and gar. 

    Apparently this girl yanked this one out not 2 miles from my house. I didn't even know our water had Drum.

    When I was a wee lad in Iowa fishing in an aluminum flat bottom boat on a quiet lake  with my Father and Grandfather we often heard a drumfish underneath but never caught one. Gramp always said those drumfish are impossible to catch, but I always wanted to at least see what one looked like. It wasn't until years later that I discovered that those drumfish were them ripping off long beer farts!  =)
