OT - Home Vise Recommendation?

I know there are a lot of hands on folks here, curious if anyone recommends a vise for casual use at home?

Average guy stuff, monkeying in the garage etc.  I don't have a need for commercial grade.

Like to stay below $100 if possible.

Yost 465. Just a little over your $100 max, but spend a little more now, you won't regret it later.

Read the above. You'll be wanting a vintage vise. I found a vintage wilton 5" jaw for $50 at a yard sale. I wouldn't trade it for a brand new green egg.

Thing about a vise is you only buy one. Ever. 

My dad has the same one I chipped baby teeth on as a kid. 

I have that Yost. It's awesome. That was my "one" purchase. 

I bought a second one at Harbor Freight or Lowes or something just to hold guns while a I work on them on my work bench. I can tell the quality between the $40 and the $120. 

Any time life, limb, or eyesight can be risked when working with tools it's better to "buy once cry once"
