I am curious to know what size as well. I picked up MM a month ago to go with my LBGE, but have not cooked a butt on it yet. Any idea what the max size you could fit on the MM? Did you have to take out the dome thermometer during the cook for the lid to close?

Not sure why BGE can't use the correct length bolts on the lower vent and they have to stack washers on the outside. I have 3 Eggs done this way as well.

    Thank you,

I did a 6# butt on my MMX this weekend. MMMMM! Nice bark, good eating. Loving my MiniMax. Took it north and put it in a sled behind a 4-wheeler to drag it to our cabin. It was a trooper and the boys were impressed!

I've never done a low and slow but I do love it for searing steak on the back end of a reverse sear or SV

It looks like that is intentional, giving a positive stop for the slidders.  Just a guess though.

Common on engineering now, some of my suppliers look at me funny when I complain about an inch of thread sticking out of the back of a nut or (worse) no thread at all.

There is a notch on the left that is cut into the lower vent as a stop already.
Just the single washer and bolt work on my other Eggs. Might just be the smaller sized Eggs with thinner walls that need the extra washers?
