Played With A Couple Racks

I played with a couple racks of lamb yesterday. This was my first time cooking lamb. I don't dislike lamb but it never crosses my mind as an option when looking for things to cook. A few months ago my Mom mentioned how she would like to try lamb. She's has had lamb before but never by itself. So I figured why not give it a go. I went up to my parents with a couple racks a lamb.
Here is a picture of it being tossed on the egg:

Coming off the egg:

Plated:

All in all I'd call it a success. The recipe called for the fat on the lamb. I'd trim it next time. I also couldn't cut a straight piece a lamb for the life of me. That will take some more practice. The lamb was super tender though. Mom was happy so I guess I will call it a win!

Great cook and result right there. Way to change it up.

Lamb is something that doesn't get on my cook list.
Your cook does look good, I may have to give Lamb a try. -
I love lamb. Love it. Looks like you nailed it!

@saluki2007 you'll make the restaurants look like novices. Go for it!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle -
Looks awesome! Love grilled lamb: rack, chops, and lamb burger and perfect for the egg - can be lots of beautiful fat that flares wildly on other grills, egg lid seems to keep it under good control. Just be careful opening the lid with a rack or chops if you have a hot fire! Try lamb burgers with feta incorporated, a good fresh tomatoe slice and some tzarziki on grilled flatbread.

@WeberWho - I recently cooked a deboned leg of lamb and I will tell you that you need to make sure you are getting a high quality cut. They are graded the same as beef and the higher up the food chain the more tender. Regarding the cook, several options so pick one and have fun with it.
Of course, with the rack you are at the top of the chain going in. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
