Pork shoulder roast
I put on a pork shoulder roast today and my wife will be checking on it off and on while she stays home with our sick daughter today. I rubbed with dizzy dust and swamp venom...anyone ever used this combo? swamp venom is by far my favorite dizzy pig, but I was afraid it may have a little too much heat for some people to coat the whole thing in it.

the heat will dissipate some with the longer cook and the dizzy dust will sweeten it up, its a good combo

Going to try that combo, nice one. Any pictures of the result?

is on the grill now. I actually coated in bacon grease prior to rubbing. I will get a pic around noon of what it is looking like. Its holding steady at 250 degrees as of now!

grillsgt, I will! We see what is like when I get home!

Pulled at a little over 190 and going in cooler now until dinner time.

Looks real good. I wouldn't be afraid of the swamp venom being too hot. Very few bites will end up with bark on them anyways.
