Chinese BBQ Pork...

So when I am totally bored with all the usual egged stuff, I gotta think of something a little different.

Chinese BBQ pork was a no-brainer when a 4.5 pound pork butt jumped into my cart at Publix.

I marinated it overnight and filled up the small BGE at 300 degree dome.

So 4 hours in, and it was ready, with the edges getting all dark and crusty. Bad pic, but, ya know, there was wine happening~

I cooled it and frigerated it, and then sliced it nice and thin the next day.

Then, there had to be fried rice!

How about some ramen noodle soup with fresh cilantro and sriracha sauce drizzle~

Yea, I could eat that just about every day.

Thanks for lookin, my friends.
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

One thing I really love about this forum is that you don't need Photobucket, or anything like it!  You can MUCH more easily just directly post your pictures, and they get stored right here on this forum, no need for an extra site for storing the photos.  No muss, no fuss.  SO much easier!

Your chicken sounds and looks great!  Thanks for posting the recipe!
  • This looks great! did you just cut the but down into pieces? I know the recipe said 1.5" thick. I could eat that stuff every day. Nice work!

  • @designsbyjf - I sliced in 1 inch slices. Unfortunately it was a bone in butt, so I just cut around the bone, no biggie.

I haven't posted pics here in awhile, I thought I could use PB. Unfortunately, I already deleted these pics off my camera after I uploaded to PB.
