Smoking fish with ??'s

rainy weekend here so I decided to dig thru the freezer. Came up with this pile of goodies. 
Salmon and halibut. I found a decent brine recipe that sounds good online. Soy sauce , garlic and brown sugar. I have a little bit of plum wood left for smoke. Any other recommendations while I wait for these to thaw??? Also found a package of Marlin after I took the pictures that will join his fellow finned friends on the egg

I like smoked halibut dip. Jalapeños, cream cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, chili powder, a little paprika, lemon juice, salt and Pepper

Oh great idea!!! Smoked halibut I love . Salmon? Meh!! Not really cold smoke but as low a temp as I can get on the egg. Cold smoke??? Hmmmm that reminds me one of the local breweries makes a dark ale called cold smoke. May have to pick some of that up when I go to the store!!!

Yeah I hate salmon. Period. There isn't enough honey or soy sauce in the world. Just never acquired a taste for it.

Only raw fish I like is tuna. Things are chugging along nicely in the egg.




What else is  there to do on a day like this?? F'ing snow !!!!!!
