Question about beef ribs

Do you guys generally pick them up from butcher?   I've never cooked nor eaten them (I don't think), but when I check our local stores the only thing I can find are the very short cuts.   I'd like to give these a try sometime but want to get the right ones.
--Because I'm like ice, buddy. When I don't like you, you've got problems.

I get uncut short ribs from the butcher. Otherwise, I find them boneless or trimmed into singles.

The local chain grocery (Kroger) used (key word) to carry the individually cut chuck short ribs.  Not bad if all you could find.  I worked with the butcher behind the counter and could purchase them uncut, the 4 bone slab at around 7+ lbs until around mid November '16.  At that time, they quit offering them.

Since last fall i have been on a beef back ribs kick that I get from the local butcher.
Based on your description, buy a pack and give them a go.  Worst you can do is enjoy some beef on a stick, finish-temp/feel can make any cut tasty.  FWIW-
