Need warranty help

Last weekend I discovered that I had a crack in the bottom of my LBGE that went from the vent, all the way across the bottom, and up the other side abit. It came to my attention after I saw some smoke seeping out of the crack.
I originally bought my egg almost three years ago at the eggfest in Waldorf as a demo egg. I don't have anything against the dealer I bought it from, but they are over an hour away. The local Ace Hardware store five minutes from my house recently became a dealer, so I contacted them. I called them on Sunday, then sent an email with a picture that they forwarded onto their BGE rep/distributer. On word from them on Wednesday, so I called again. This time he said he was going to call BGE HQ, and have them contact me directly. So its Friday morning now, and I still haven't heard anything.
Has anyone been in this position with their warranty claim? I really feel like I need to address this crack since it does leak smoke...

Talk to Bruce Bohannon ... he's responsible for warranty claims. You can e-mail him directly at b.bohannon@BigGreenEgg.com, but sometimes e-mails get sidetracked. Your best bet is a phone call: (800) 793-2292 then extension 5. Bruce is one of the good guys, so treat him accordingly.
