    The only skewering I've done is for yakitori so I have not had a need for those big "sword length" skewers, the small flat bamboo skewers are what I have.

    However, after reading these posts I was curious so I did order some of the flat metal types. I ordered these:

    I got those because they come with a spiffy case and the company name is "BearMoo" which just cracks me up.

    Actually, I've ordered a couple of other items from BearMoo in the past few weeks. I bought a couple of their combo sharpening stones out of curiosity as to the quality of Chinese made stones.
