Fireboard experience?

... to derail this a bit - I'll be interested to hear how the fireboard works out for people.  The probes they use are really nice - extremely heat tolerant, and very precise.
@blind99 posted this in a flameboss thread ... small and at the end of the conversation ... no feedback from anyone ... darn.

So, let me ask the question up front ... any experience?

a few folks have mentioned having it and liking it recently, can't remember who. seems like a really nice piece of equipment.  i dusted off my old maverick recently as i just wanted to check temps remotely.  it was really annoying to see the grill temp and not be able to do anything about it though!  (i mean, use my legs and go out in the cold?  what is the world coming to?)

if you're bored, here's some info on the kind of sensor they use.

I have had mine since last November. Haven't found a reason yet not to love it.

The probes seem to be well made and are waterproof. The cables are 6 feet long and extension cables are available. That will make it pretty easy to be able to be using the Fireboard with multiple cookers simultaneously.

Setup with WiFi was easy and the app and website work well. You can also connect to it via Bluetooth when you are going to be close to it and WiFi is not available.

The Amazing Ribs website did a review of this a few weeks ago and I pretty much agree with what they said.

I think if anyone is considering the Thermoworks Smoke and also their WiFi Gateway (when it becomes available) they should definitely give the Fireboard a good look since the price would be about the same.

I got 8 probes with my Fireboard and didn't want to just cram all that stuff into a drawer so I  came up with this for storing it all:
