@coltsfan when you get the HCC Black shake the bottle well prior to using. You will like it.

I ordered the red yesterday will post after I use it. Thanks for your list.

  • I've used a bunch on various things and like to mix it up, but Bad Byron's is all I use for pulled pork.

Texas BBQ rub Original or Grand Champion for ribs and butts, Old #2 for brisket.  Inexpensive and incredibly good!  I've tried many others, but keep coming back...

I am a huge fan of Lane's SPF 53 on chicken. Dizzy Pig's Tsunami on potato's and veggies and Meat Church Honey Hog Hot on butts. Also really like Meat Church Holy Cow on steak's but have learned to scale back the amount.

Used the meat church deez nuts and thought it was awful.

Will revisit their stuff I think. I'm a huge huge fan of all the oak ridge stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not a huge fan of a pecan rub but there is a massive place for it in the market. I use it on cedar planked salmon and in the cream cheese of jalapeno poppers. I did recently enter the label in a Best BBQ Product label contest. Fingers crossed! ;)

Just being honest. I thought it had an odd fruity taste to it that wasn't good on ribs or pork shoulder. I love pecan and smoking with it. funny ass label though. Probably half the allure.

Maybe the savory types are my gig.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Susie Q's santa maria seasoning is a great all purpose seasoning.
    Any of the Albukirky seasonings

FYI I got these from @SoCalTim in the rub and sauce exchange and love them.

I love the Central BBQ rubs from Memphis TN.  Those are my goto for ribs and butts.

I use Smokin' Guns Sweet Heat as my all purpose rub.   Has the right amount of heat for me and still adds flavor.  Works great on chicken and pork

Shoup's Seasoning is a great all-purpose seasoning. I see you're in Bloomington, IN so you might look in your local Kroger store for it. It's in the stores around Indianapolis, or can also be purchased online.
