Next week I will be driving to Burlington ON for two days of training.  Looking for food recommendations for dinner and breakfast.  Once I plan those 4 meals, I will reserve a spot at a hotel nearby.  Thanks in advance for any help eh!

Jake's Grill and Oyster house is ok. What time of day does your training start. I think I would be inclined to stay on the outskirts of Toronto near the subway and commute from the city to Burlington. You would be going against the traffic both ways so it would only be mildly horrible.

Training is 9am to 4pm right in Burlington just off the 403.

@Little Steven Thanks for the Jake's Grill advice.  It looks like a good place with good reviews.

  • The Squires at Walker's Line and Fairview Rd is a british style pub with excellent food. It's one of our favorites. The Forty Creek Burger is one of the best I've ever had.

i was going to try to shoot down to Niagara Falls.  I had noticed last night that a headlight was out in the jeep cherokee.  With class running a little late, and my time replacing the headlights (sealed beam 6 screws per light) in Napa's parking lot, I would not make it there until after sunset, not giving me much time to look around in the daylight.  Soooo, I am off to BBQ galore and then probably the squires that @Coolnamesallgone recommended.

@chuckytheegghead thanks for the BBQ galore idea.  May head to stonehouse later after Squires.  @big_greencraig that Lisa Marie looks good, I just don't want to drive that far tonight (hour each way)

The Keg is OK for steak.  It's at the 403 and Guelph Line area.  There are a few other restaurants around there also.   Tucker's Market is another one there.  I used to work in the area and we used to eat there.

If you want the best donairs ever, try Sammy's (453 Guelph Line, Burlington) (Google sammy's burlington ontario)  They only take cash and don't have a website, that's how good they are - they do not need all that fancy stuff.  Just eat there at the end of the day, not the best thing to be sitting in your stomach while training (I know, been there)
