Agnes Got A Tattoo

Yes, my egg is names after my Grandmother, Agnes, who could cook anything in the world.  I remember having to go get firewood and her cooking on a pot-belly stove one winter during a snowstorm.  Well, I sure do miss that crazy lady, but she lives on at my house in the shape of a BGE.

Big thanks to Kahla at Area 51 Engraving in Roswell, GA for making the band for me.

Once the MiniMax makes its appearance at the house, it'll officially be my daughter's egg, and I'll have it branded just for her.

Next up is the Smokeware cap getting etched with something.....  I just haven't come up with an idea yet!

Cool! Plastic or metal and then attached under the handle - right?

    Very cool!

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

  • @RRP Aluminum and attached under the handle.  Much like the special bands BGE put on the XXL for the "Big Boss Man".

Was very easy to put on.  Undo 4 of the acorn nuts, pull off the handle, pop it on and bolt the handle back on.

Probably the best $20 I've spent on the egg!

Any further details? Metal shop or engraver? Way cool.
  • It's a place called Area 51 Engraving in Roswell GA. Kahla runs the shop and engraves yeti cups as well. Search Facebook and Instagram for Area51 Engraving. Her shop email is area51engraving@gmail.com. Just tell her that you saw on the Eggheadforum if you want something.

And i I have ZERO financial interest in her business. She's a cool lady with a cute little kid that wasn't feeling well when I picked up my "tattoo".
