Building a better mouse trap? Or are you modding some other type of cooker?

    the sliding door...

    reasoning:
I use a stoker...and what I have encountered on my other smoker has steered me to this solution...If the ball valve on the OTHER smoker is wide open, the fire will have enough strength to suck air even though the stoker fan is not spinning...causing the fire to increase in strength...by having  the ability to choke down the air flow, the only way the fire can gain strength is when the fan tells it to....I plan on leaving my daisy wheel "daisy" portion adjusted to completely open..

we will see but I believe my results will be positive...

Had to take in consideration the ability to maintain the sliding functionality of the door....

I clicked on this because I thought someone was gonna get laid.

    They weren't.

As a consolation, ball-valves and male adapters were involved, but no happy ending so far.

I'm pulling for ya. (that didn't come out right)

    ***** quick update******

finished grinding down the 1/2 floor flange to accommodate space for the door...

cut out the rubber and cork template for both floor flanges to give a good seal once the fan and flange are mounted...the cork is a insulator to the rubber, I don't think it will ever get that hot, but thought of that nonetheless....

painted the jb on and waiting for it to set....it will be tomorrow before I will be able to take any pictures and finally mount the flange to the sliding door....
