i was gifted some raw cacao beans from a friends recent trip to Hawaii. Besides adding to home brew ( I don't have enough) any ideas on using these?

Make a chocolate, coffee rub

Cocoa powder is an ingredient in a few bbq rubs I have found. It is also really good in chili. I don't have the recipe but my in laws made me some rub with cocoa and it was excellent.
Like @fruitguy mentioned I think you could use something like @Mickey's coffee rub and add ground cocoa powder and it would be really good.Equal part: Instant Expresso Ground coffeeEqual part: Brown Sugar½ part: Black Pepper½ part: Kosher Salt½ part: Garlic Powder¾ part: Ancho Chili Powder
edit:
I was assuming you could just grind up the beans, but if they are raw there might be a couple of steps to turn them into powder.

I like the rub idea. Maybe roast or toast them before grinding? I suppose I should google that.Wisconsin, lbge, MM, kab, pig tail flippers, bear claws, and more rubs than I will admit to.

So I think I'll toast some up and add it to the coffee rub. I'll report back how it turns out.Wisconsin, lbge, MM, kab, pig tail flippers, bear claws, and more rubs than I will admit to.

Rub, beer.
I'm guessing they are fermeted.
Taste one. If it tastes terrible, it's going to add terrible taste and vice versa.

Good point. I did the sniff test, smelled faintly of chocolate. These just may end up in the compost bin.Wisconsin, lbge, MM, kab, pig tail flippers, bear claws, and more rubs than I will admit to.
