XL Steel grill& grates arrived

I am excited to receive steel grill and charcoal basket from Michael custom grill works. Michael is a great guy and was prompt on delivering the product. He added two hooks to lift the grills free of charge. I requested the same grills designed by Hali_guy. Thanks Hal_guy and others for their input. I love this forum and am learning a lot.

Looks solid. I'll have to keep him in mind for any upcoming projects. Also, looks like @Heli_Guy did a good job designing that too

Does your cooking grate have 1/4" spacing? How do you like it? I am debating 1/4" or 1/2" for my XL.

That stuff looks substantial...I like it.

@beerguy--I think it is 1/4" spacing. Food does not fall in between spaces except small as garlic cloves. I use grill mat/mash for smaller vegetables.

I am very happy with them. Don't have to worry about rust and cleaning is a breeze. 

I had to send the raiser back to raise the height by 1.5 inches as there was not much space between lower and upper grates --which Michael did free of charge!!
