Question about 28" Blackstone

Got a new 28" for Christmas and noticed these bumps on the griddle. Normal?

Might be the tack welds from the underside "v" channels. Didn't have them on mine.

Just scrub it clean with soap and water and start seasoning it.
"If" you think they are causing any problems give Blackstone a call.

Yeah, definitely tack welds. Mine disappeared after a couple uses and seasoning.

Are they actually "bumps" or just discoloured from the welding. If actual bumps they could be a pain when doing pancakes or the like but they look to me like they are just discoloured from the heat and will season and work fine.clemsontyger97 said:Got a new 28" for Christmas and noticed these bumps on the griddle. I would expect the griddle to be flat for easy spatulating (yes I made that up).Mt Elgin Ontario - just a Large. -
