Anyone use both? Is one better than the other to justify the added expense? Seems like the charcoal would last a bit longer in the plus due to the bottom, but IDK. Is the lack of a bottom on the S&S even an issue at all?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

I've got the SnS for my 22" kettle. I really don't see much advantage to the "new and improved" SnS+.
I haven't noticed any problems with too much charcoal falling thru the grate and I can easily get 8-10 hours already. If charcoal falling thru the grate was a problem I would just spend $10 for another Weber charcoal grate and place it at 90° over the existing grate to create smaller holes.

From what I've read, the S&S blows the Smokenator away. Any experienced comments from the gallery?

I think that like most things, that $30 only hurts only once. Without the bottom option, i feel a person is giving up a big feature - that being the ability to shake out the ash prior to the next cook.
I'd carry both models, if you have space. You didn't ask, but that 26.75 with the s&s is a very underrated cooker.Phoenix -
Thanks @blasting. I'm ordering both sizes along with the drip pan / griddle. I'm on the fence about the S&S+. The larger one already has the bottom so that is a mute issue.
