If you go fast you cant relax and enjoy a conversation with a neighbor over the fence with a beer. Napkins in a coffe can with a oil soaking on them right now.
Ok, unless that neighbor is topless get a torch.
He is during the summer around his pool but I'm not into dudes. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Sounds like my buddy neighbor, the perpetually topless, hairy, Italian, brisket camp lawyer.  He needs to mix the topless part up with his wife.

I have done it wrong with all of the methods discussed for quite some time.  Was gifted a Bernzomatic lawn and garden weed torch a year ago, and haven't looked back.  Kick myself for not getting one back when this all started.

    Clean, quick, efficient.
Paper towels, Rutland starters, Weber cubes suck on damp or windy days.

Use my cane torch for other stuff too, weeds, campfires.
