Hey everyone
Merry Christmas!
I'm lookin at buying a large egg dome cover for my table. What are your opinions on how it works in the wind for those of you that have one ?
Are they worth it ?

I have heard of problems in highly humid areas. On the flip side, the metal parts will definitely rust if left out in the rain. A way to keep the daisy wheel free from rust is stick it in the egg when not in use and put on the ceramic cap. BGE does (or at least used to) make a cover that fit over the egg and table. They looked fairly durable.

Unlike others here I'm a fan of covering my table and eggs! I was brought up with the idea of buying the best I can afford and then taking care of it!Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

It snows in Indiana. And now I have to ask, what scares you about snow and your egg?~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

Then how much direct sun does your table get every day? As you probably know sunlight can wreak serious damage on an exposed wooden table.SoCalTim said:

I completely understand what @RRP is saying. However, in Seattle, never needed a cover with all the rain (Eggs in stands), and in Texas, they were in stands and now in a station of stone and granite. I had two covers, but never worked out with daily egging, waiting for it to cool, etc. Gave the large away recently, and still have one for a small if anyone wants it..
