Short ribs - looking for advice on timing

We're hosting Christmas eve so i picked up about 20lbs of beef choice grade chuck short ribs from Rd for roughly 20 people. There are 4 slabs in with 4 bones. I am thinking 250 for about 6 or so hours but of course until they probe like butter. People are coming for 3 so looking to serve about 4.
What do you guys think? Timing good or too short? Just looking for ball park.

I think you're a little short on time. I usually go 275 on beef ribs and it takes about 6 hours sometimes more. At 250 I don't think you'll quite make it. Beef ribs rest well just like brisket. Your best bet is start about 8-10 hours early, then ftc to rest when done.

I agree with @shucker, I always plan for atleast 8 hours. Might go longer so be prepared and they rest well. There an easy cook if you setup and plan well. Best of luck and don't stress... couple of cocktails and your goodshucker said:I think you're a little short on time. I usually go 275 on beef ribs and it takes about 6 hours sometimes more. Thanks so much for the quick response @shucker and @Gamecockeggman!
Nothing like starting the day off lighting up the egg around 4a and having a drink... will post an update on Saturday morning.
