today's baking was year 63 in a family tradition - but not a BGE bake
Way back in 1953 my Mother started baking a cookie recipe called Holiday Billy Goats that she found in the Kansas City Star newspaper. Every year thereafter up until her middle 80's she would bake those cookies. After that I took over and today was year 63. My two batches yielded 17.5 dozen in spite of my "tasting" the raw batter several times! I give away half of them and my wife and I pig out on the rest over the course of the next couple weeks.

Wonderful. Ultimately cooking is about more than just sustenance. It is also about love and family. Very nice tradition.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

You don't need to list the entire recipe, but I'd like to hear a little more about what we're looking at there. They look great.Stillwater, MN

Walnuts, dates, butter, eggs, flour, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, sour milk, salt and some ground cloves adds a secret kicker.
