@JacksDad -  That is a thing of beauty.  Congrats on the cook and eats, regardless of the thread title.

Is it possible, just possible, Nola is the buffalo?   Nobody has seen Nola and the buffalo together have they?

Toss that around after some prop 64 and it could cause your head to explode.

Nola I regret to report is not the buffalo.  He's a long haired, well intentioned, bourbon drinking hippie that I enjoy spending time with.  Miss him.  Don't miss my brother's politics.  But I do miss him.

  • I always heard what a good basketball player Obama was. The one and only time I saw him doing that he was 0 for 22. Check out this old geezer. Not exactly shooting from downtown, but he is 75.

@dsrguns. Buffalo Trace is really good, dispite the 'Buffalo' name.  It's made at the same distillery as Blanton's, which also owns the name to Pappy VanWinkle.

  • His party would like to thank the donkeys for nominating a candidate that was so unbelievably bad that she could not beat a guy that almost no one liked even before he decided to run. Then, after announcing, he shot himself in the foot, then lathered, rinsed, and repeated. A guy that most did not vote for, but rather decided they had to vote against her. Do you guys realize that had you nominated almost anyone else you would have won? I do not know if Bernie the self avowed socialist could have gotten the ball across the goal line, but most others could have. Again, thank you.

While I do agree with you in the post above, the part that bothers me is, how is it half the country had 16 better republican candidates, but ended up with Donald?!?
I can understand him taking the lead early on, he attracted the bottom 30% of the party (most polite way I can put it) while the top 70% was spread out amongst sixteen others; but when it came down to the wire, Hell Man, I was rootin' for Kasich when it was down to three, but he was washed away.  I don't get it.

None of the other 16 would have stood a chance against the hill. Trump was a completely different animal that the dems had no clue how to overcome. Just my friendly 2 pennies.

  • @Botch, great question. I have wondered that myself. However, since he was the nominee and Hillary losing, I don't think about it any more. We may have lost had we nominated someone else. All's well that ends with Hillary defeated. All the liberals that are butthurt and whining is just a (major) bonus.

Look in the mirror. It is equally, check that, worse  on the other side. The other side doesn't even have a better choice available. Funny.

@bgebrent I was walking down the street and did a double take. I never heard any connection between the buffalo and justice. D.C. Is such an awesome town. I had some great food while I was there too. The president and his motorcade even came down the street. So cool to see.

I think we have to give the Donald a chance. I was telling my daughter earlier today, if he does anything dangerous to our country, or illegal, we always have the right to impeach. Right?

The dems ended up with Hillary! Who is apparently a worse choice to everyone not living in NYC, Chicago, or LA. If it was so bad the GOP nominated Trump (valid criticism), it's even worse the dems nominated Hill.

He stood up to the corrupt press and he absorbed being called a racist, bigoted, homophobe. People are really tired of being called disgusting names for disagreeing with others. It's just that simple. Whereas a guy like Kasich will bend over backwards to avoid being called names or lumped in the wrong group. Even if it means he compromises his beliefs.

I love D.C., save the politics.  Sounds like a great trip.
