The conversion project of the Egg over the Traeger has begun.

Start wih Filets for dinner with the potatoes au gratin recipe found here. Cut the slices too thick on the potatoes, but they really are damn good!!!

And then the Brisket. Nothing more than salt and pepper. Currently sitting at 150 and chugging along quite fine.

Looks great! I did some ribs at our shop on a traeger yesterday while doing a turkey breast on the egg and wings and beans in a primo. The ceramic grills are really the most versatile unit I know of. Not to say you can't still create some great food off other cookers. Good luck doing a steak like that on a traeger though! Beautiful!

  • That looks good enough too eat @tikigriller.

I'm glad that I managed to avoid the pellet grill step and went staging to the egg.

Kinda a holiday kick off event. Had a bunch of snacks inside as well with various olive oils and balsamics and Robert Rothschild gourmet food items. It was a great day. Weather couldn't have been nicer. Have away a couple door prizes.

I usually use several cookers at demos though. I try to do a few items that are low maintenance. I like to use a wide range of rubs and sauces if possible and highlight the versatility of the grills. I did have some left over ribs today. I actually planned a couple other items, but we got too busy. We post the events on FB. At least my better half does.

The final product. Still missed some on the brisket but we could find some really good pieces and the. Burnt ends were fabulous. A little too much salt, but all in all, I am pleased with this cook. Definitely improved over the last one.
