I really think I want one of these things now. My question to those you who have it is: How often do you use it and was it worth the money?
St. Johns County, Florida -
I use it in my large also. I actually did two racks of ribs using it and were my best ribs to date.

@MaC122, I probably use mine on about half my cooks, if not more. I'd suggest a basket to go along with it so you can cook a wider variety of foods. I may slow down once the novelty wears off. I know of two people who are getting one for Christmas just because of how my Thanksgiving turkey (below) turned out. It wasn't cheap, but let's just say that it's one accessory that SWMBO thinks was totally worth it - that works for me

@StillH2OEgger, it's not too difficult to balance, you just need to keep it in mind. That was a 14.5# bird, and I got it balanced on the first try. I did, however, truss it good before spitting it.

Looks like I asked the wrong person above. Sorry about that, and thanks for the response.Stillwater, MN -
The_Stache said:I own a Joetisserie and use it religiously (as a Pastafarian) in my Large! The question I have is "If BGE decided to come up with a Rotisserie for BGE what would they name it? Egg-tisserie just seems too .... common... There's gonna have to be a really great reason that we'll pay even more than the Joetisserie to get a device "specifically" for our Green ones, NO? Egg-Rotarian, Spit in an Egg, Egg-Rot (well maybe not), Rotating Egg Thingy... come on ... give up some possibilities!!!
Kj owns(bought or licensed) the patent on wedge shaped rotisseries on a Kamado. I would be curious to see how someone gets around that... -
@MaC122 I use my 'Tesserie at least once a week. Usually a double chicken
@bigbadben patents, bah humbug! :-)

How did you do the ribs? I'm thinking of doing some ribs tonight and will throw them on my joetisserie if I can.crudad said:I use it in my large also. I actually did two racks of ribs using it and were my best ribs to date. -
@crudad--how'd u set it up for 2 racks of ribs? Love mine. Use it all of the time.BGE Large and MiniMax, Napolean 500. Obsessed with rotisserie.

I absolutely love mine. Without it I am always flipping the meat to make sure it is evenly cooked and one side doesn't get cooked more than the other. The Joe removes this problem all together. It's not even debatable.
