Blackstone Built-in Outdoor Kitchen

Question for you Blackstone owners out there.  I am about to do an outdoor kitchen project, and would like to build in (or neatly slide in) a 36" Blackstone rather than the usual gas grill.  Will obviously be making a spot for my XL BGE.  Based on looking at photos I am assuming I could leave off the side shelves and casters and essentially slide the rest of the rig in.  Is this a decent idea?  Any feedback or suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks!

Seems like that would work. That would allow you to also still use the shelf for additional storage under the griddle itself.  Obviously, you will still need a spot for the propane tank..............

I'm not sure how involved it would be to also just cut the legs off at the right points and build it into your kitchen project to have it look more custom....it's pretty thin metal....that shouldn't be too hard to do either.
Just bought an Egg?  Here is what you get to look forward to now:

Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night.  Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

I just pulled the pins out on the folding legs and set the top portion on my table. I was a little nervous about setting it on the wood table but it doesn't seem to bother the wood. Even after my near disaster a few weeks ago when I left one of the burners on for 3 days.

And now we know what happens when beer is a cooking ingredient!
Glad nothing severe happened!   I forgot those legs had pins in them and they folded up!  Of course, fold em up and build it right into the project!!!

  • Thanks, I'm going to give this a shot!  I'll probably share pictures of this whole project once it's done in few weeks.

Make sure you leave clearance from a combustible surface. Blackstone is made for outdoor use and may not have clearance rating on unit tag.
