Soup, stew for left-over pulled pork?
Clusterbuster
Posts: 28
I did some pulled pork last weekend (on another post) and now have about 2 pounds of left-overs. Any good recipes or ideas for incorporating it into a good soup or stew with a fall vibe? With all the good suggestions I got for my first pork butt, I figured I'd keep coming.

I like to do a pork chili verde with leftovers. The smokiness of the pork is a nice touch.

awesome brunswick stew recipe...http://bigcitybrianwright.com/big-green-egg using pulled pork and a bbq base.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here. Very Extremely Stable Genius.

I always take my extra and vacuum seal it and freeze. When you are ready to eat just throw bag in boiling water for a few or throw in a big pan and heat it up. Still very moist.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what I can do.

Not a direct answer to your question but it makes a great filler for ABT's. Give it some heat with the cheese you choose and go from there. You will be justly rewarded. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

You can use it in chili. Not sure it stacks up with brisket chili, but it’s a slightly different flavor and texture profile.
