BGE Yard Cart

  • Been lurking on here for a while and couldn't find any designs that allowed easy movement around a yard. I also need a small work surface to set my beer while cooking, so I came up with this design.
  • Bought a cart from Harbor Freight
  • Welded in some additional support, test fit the additional steel.
  • Extra support fully welded into the cart.
  • Found a granite coffee table with 2 broken legs in the trash, perfect size! Removed all the old legs and supports.
  • New legs installed and the center mapped out.
  • Cut here.
  • Got a small stone hole saw and got to work
  • All the stone cut and ready for the big hole!
  • Starting to take shape! Kinda glad the granite was only about 1/4" thick.             Dremel tool made quick work of all the edges, then a final jig saw.
  • Time to smoke some pork butt! I can't wait to get it fired up this weekend! Faced it with cedar and tried to get kinda close on the stain from the picked coffee table. All in all I have about $200 in the cart.
