Pulled and Burnt Ends

About a 7 lb butt. Put it on while at 240 and let it ride to 160 IT. Removed, cut in half, cranked heat to 310 to speed up finish. Did not wrap. Cubed other half and back in for about 3 hours. They were quite good. Perhaps a little too much sauce. It was my first attempt at any burnt ends. I didn't wrap this time but think I will from now on. Wrapped last one and it came out more moist. Could also have something to do with cutting it in half at 160?  Would changing the mass make a difference?

Anyways, food was good. Successful Sunday cook. Extremely drunk by nights end.......again!  Scorpion Bowls always seem to get me good!!!!

thanks for any insight for the next batch.

    Actually everything looks phenomenal.

As for you asking about changing the mass and the moistness of your cubed pork.  It shouldn't make any difference.  It's probably more of an over or under-cooked thing there.

The cubed pork was fine, it was the pulled pork that seemed a little dry.  I really think for something like this I am becoming a fan of the wrapping crowd.

@minniemoh Thank You!  However, this was all accomplished yesterday from ideas of people around here. Never could have done it on my own.

Mac and Cheese was good.....wish I could say I prepared it, but al it is in the Mac and cheese from Costco, cooked on the pellet grill at 400 for about an hour and a half if memory serves.....memory very foggy.........Sunday Funday!

    The Scorpion Bowl

    2 cups crushed Ice

    6 oz OJ

    1 Oz Lemon juice

    6 Oz Rum

    1 Oz Brandy

    1-1/2 Oz Orgeat Syrup

    Blend and serve over ice.

This drink will go down easy if you like a citrus drink, and sneak up on you fast...usually about halfway through the second pitcher...and a third will be a mistake for most. This is basing it on 2 people sharing the contents.

I will also need to double check those measurements when I get home.  My wife has been making them for us lately, so it has been a long time since I have made the mix, and it is pretty important to get it right.
