Sous Vide Egg-Cooked Whiskey Black Pepper Ribs

I've been having more fun before I head to the early voting place.

This time I tried some of those pre-seasoned, and sealed ribs Kroger puts on sale a lot. They are always tempting to try but we've only done so a couple of times. We weren't disappointed as much as they just needed 'something else' to take 'em up a notch.

Well, I thought maybe that 'something else' might well be to sous vide them first, and even though they were 'smoked' (liquid smoke I'm sure) I would also smoke them. And I thought I would do them 'Turbo Style.'

It worked... Not only that, they turned out really well, enough that we will certainly do it again.

Here's the video I put together.

Enjoy.

Thanks for posting, great looking cook!
i see you SVed them right in the Cryovac and assume there was no leakage. I ask because I SVed a single rack and water leaked in and I boiled the rack at 150 (well not boiled) for 4 hours, surprisingly they came out OK after finishing them on the BGE. Love your cooks!
