  • My Ace Hardware was selling the large bag of BGE Lump for $29.  Royal Oak at Lowes was $32...and the BGE Lump definitely had many more larger pieces of lump than the Royal Oak did.  So the  rumor that the two are the same lump, different bag, but BGE gets the "better lump" for their bag may just be true....at least for a comparison between two whole bags!  LOL
Just bought an Egg?  Here is what you get to look forward to now:

Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night.  Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

  • BGE 20lb. I don't remember the RO, but it was the biggest back they had, so I assume the comparable size.

Lump questions are banned until Friday. It is early in the week and I am out of popcorn and tonic. There should be a Buffalo for Non-Friday lump questions

(Sorry, I'm busy Friday night). Didn't realize this was still around. I burned thru a few bags a few years ago when they were rebranding and selling existing inventory at 50% off. Burned just fine. I haven't seen it since. That was back when I was in search of the perfect lump, with my quest fueled from everyone here. I've since decided if I can light it I can cook just fine with it. Pyrolysed wood is pyrolysed wood.

Have you tried Walmart? Where I'm at had 17lb bags of royal oak lump for $9.94

Royal oak is ok lump.  At that price I'd burn it.
